Community, has launched the 10th annual competition. The main theme of 2010 Lite-
On Award is “Green Evolution: Sailing to the Green Ocean”, which is to encourage young
designers to think greener. With the brighter ideas, the world will be greener and better
again!
We’re celebrating Ten Years of the Lite-On Award! To truly care for the earth through our
actions, Lite-On has canceled the traditional use of storyboards for judging and created
an all-new electronic evaluation platform to build up a new, greener competition
guidelines.

Organised by: International Conference on Social Robotics ICSR2010
The International Conference on Social Robotics 2010 invites YOU (and not just
Industrial Design undergraduates, graduates and professionals) to the inaugural Robot
Design Competition to create social robots (robot interactions) for the year 2020 -- an
age where intelligent social robots built with consilience will grey the boundaries of
human and machine interaction on a day-to-day basis.
With the growing need for intelligent autonomous systems to improve human daily task
and well being, your innovation will shape how people interact with robots when robots
are expected to be our companions in our daily environment/interaction (in healthcare,
service, entertainment, home, transport, sports and education and more!)
This inaugural competition will consider submissions within the context of social robots.
Your entry should have innovative ideas which demonstrate the creative use of
technology, intelligence, interactivity, adaptability as an overall application of these
concepts that will impact or improve human tasks and well-being, governed by Asimov's
Laws of Robotics.

Global Age-Friendly Design Awards 2010
Organised by: >60 Design Centre
Global Age-Friendly Design Awards 2010 (GADA 2010) invites students, design
professionals, design firms and the general public to submit their ideas on products that
can change and enhance the lifestyles of the elderly.
Previously known as International Design Awards in 2008, the competition drew interest
from more than 200 participants from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and
Singapore. This year it hopes to increase the number of entries from local and
international design communities and agencies.
Participants
This competition is open to all designers, both professionals and students, as well as
those who are interested in design. Any participant who is younger than 18 years old is
required to obtain his/her Parent/Legal Guardian’s consent on the Entry Form.
Entries
Submissions must be the original design of participants and must not have been
previously released commercially or submitted to other competitions. Designs from both
group and individual work can be submitted for this competition.
Entry to this competition is free of charge.
